Dates
The last day is a date, not a description
Most disputes after a resignation are not about the decision but about two days in the calendar.
Where the period comes from
Notice lives in your contract or the company's policy, not in the letter. The letter records the date, and that is exactly its value.
When they ask you to leave earlier
It happens that an employer wants to end things before notice runs out. A written agreement on the new date beats a verbal understanding, and it attaches to the letter.
The sheet does not replace the contract
The template tidies the document, but your rights and periods come from the contract and the law that applies. If there is a dispute, the reference is there, not here.
What usually joins the letter
- Merge the letter with a handover acknowledgement into one file
- Add a signature inside the file instead of printing and scanning
- Number the pages if there are attachments
